Bristow Academy’s Concord campus is located at Buchanan Field. Located close to San Francisco, Oakland, and Napa Valley, the campus is an FAA Part 141 approved satellite base and is the home of the Academy’s Mountain Course.
Operating a modern fleet of Sikorsky 300CBi helicopters, students obtain good experience in flying from a busy location close to international airspace.
The campus is an authorized testing center for the FAA knowledge test and is approved by the Veterans Administration for use of the GI Bill. International students can be issued M-1 visas for study at the Concord location.
An interesting aspect of the Concord campus is its connection to the Contra Costa County Sheriff’s Office Air Support Unit. Since 1997, Bristow Academy has provided pilots, maintenance, and a home base for the Sheriff’s helicopters, currently a Bell 407 and 206. For more information on this program click here.
