American Students:
Please send the following documentation to Bristow Academy to begin the enrollment process:
- Completed Enrollment Questionnaire
- Copy of your High School Diploma/GED/or college diploma/transcript. We are accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges of Technology. We have to prove to them that each one of our students has completed high school as their minimum level of education. A copy of your education certificate is placed in your training file.
- Copy of FAA medical – if you are taking the Private license only you will need a Class 3 medical. If you are taking the Professional Pilot Program you will need a Class 2 medical. A list of FAA approved doctors can be found at http://ame.cami.jccbi.gov
- Copy of photo identification
- $150 non-refundable student enrollment fee
The above documentation should be sent for the attention of Anisha Hopkinson, Student Services Manager.
Once we receive this documentation from you and upon acceptance, we will send you a confirmation letter and a copy of our Course Catalog and an Orientation Package.
Under Transportation Security Administration (TSA) regulations US students training for their first aviation rating, or an instrument rating, are required to prove their citizenship status before we can commence flight training. Please make sure you bring with you the following:
- US Passport; or
- Original US birth certificate and a government issued picture identification (driver’s license); or
- Original US naturalization certificate with raised seal, USCIS or INS form N-550 or N-570 (Certificate of Naturalization) and a government issued picture identification (driver’s license)
If you are a US permanent resident, but not a US citizen please contact Bristow Academy as a TSA procedure needs to be followed.

J-1 Visa Students FAA Program:
If you are coming to Bristow Academy as a participant of the J-1 visa program we will need you to send us the following:

- A wire transfer for $3,000 to cover the mandatory health insurance, $300 J-1 visa fee, $150 student enrollment fee, and a deposit on to your training account. Please send a copy of the receipt from the wire transfer with your enrollment papers. Contact Anisha Hopkinson at anisha.hopkinson@bristowgroup.com to obtain wire transfer details.

If you wish for your family to accompany you they will need to obtain a J-2 visa. In order for us to produce their visa applications we need to receive a completed Enrollment Questionnaire (sections 1 and 2 only) for each family member. Mandatory health insurance is also required for each family member and the cost of this must be sent in addition to the $3,000 wire transfer mentioned above.
